OwlEyes customers

OwlEyes collects personal data concerning its customers, on the appointment form, as well as within the framework of the realization of its eyelash extensions services.

Purposes and legal basis: the processing of these personal data of the customers is necessary to allow OwlEyes to manage its activity, to manage the appointments, the payment, the management of the relations between OwlEyes and the customer and more generally the functioning of the company.

The processing is based on the execution of the service and the respect by OwlEyes of its legal obligations.

Any person who does not wish to provide the information identified as obligatory will not be able to benefit from our services.

Moreover, the personal data allows OwlEyes to manage the company and its contact file, for the purposes set out below.

OwlEyes suppliers and partners

OwlEyes may collect personal data concerning its suppliers and partners in the context of the execution of contracts with the latter.

Purposes and legal basis: the processing of this personal data is necessary to allow OwlEyes to manage the contract and the exchanges with the supplier or partner.

The processing is based on the execution of the contract (and/or pre-contractual measures) and the respect by OwlEyes of its legal obligations.

In addition, the personal data allows OwlEyes to manage the company and its contact file, for the purposes set out below.

OwlEyes may collect and process data in various settings:

The data collected within the framework of a contact request are the following:
Name and first name / Email / Phone / Message / Date and time of the appointment

In the absence of communication of the data identified as obligatory, the user will not be able to send a request for an appointment.

  • During exchanges between OwlEyes and the person concerned, in particular by e-mail, by post and by telephone
  • During the collection by OwlEyes of public data (name, first name, e-mail address, telephone number), notably on the Internet or in the press.

Purposes and legal basis: the processing of the personal data of OwlEyes’ contacts, customers, suppliers and partners is necessary to enable OwlEyes to:

  • Provide the information requested by the person concerned, if necessary, during a request for information, pre-contractual exchanges, or for the conclusion of a service
  • Manage its file of contacts, prospects, suppliers and partners
  • To organize events, activities and demonstrations

This processing is based on the legitimate interests of OwlEyes for the purposes of carrying out its activity and achieving the company’s objectives. The person concerned may object to the processing of his or her data in this context at any time on request to OwlEyes.

Any person who does not wish to provide the information identified as compulsory will not be able to benefit from the activities organized and the information sent by OwlEyes.

How is Personal Data processed?

Personal data is processed by OwlEyes in its capacity as data controller for the purposes set out above.

OwlEyes undertakes not to use them in any other context, nor to transmit them to third parties, except in the cases provided for in this data management policy or after information and, if necessary, consent of the person concerned.

Retention and archiving: personal data is kept in an active database for the purposes set out above for the time necessary to achieve these purposes, namely:

  • Data collected in the context of a contract or an order, for the duration of the contract
  • Personal data used for the management of the file of contacts, suppliers and partners is kept for a period of three years from the last contact between OwlEyes and the person concerned.

Personal data collected for the execution of a contract is archived for the duration necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of a legal right, equivalent to the duration of the statute of limitations applicable to the obligations between OwlEyes and the person concerned.

The accounting data is kept for a period of 10 years from the order (legal obligation).

OwlEyes makes its best efforts to keep and archive these personal data in appropriate security conditions in compliance with the applicable provisions, according to the current means of technology.

Recipients: In compliance with the purposes set out above, personal data may be communicated by OwlEyes to its administrators, its staff and its suppliers, including its technical suppliers (in particular, for hosting, the messaging service, the reception of participants in events, the organization of training courses, organization of webinars, online payment), acting as subcontractors, as well as to its banking institutions and consultants, including certain service providers transferring data outside the European Union to countries not subject to an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

When the personal data of contacts is collected for the purpose of making an appointment, it may be transferred to the suppliers, partners in charge of the request by OwlEyes.

OwlEyes takes all measures to require these recipients and subcontractors to comply with applicable regulations and, where applicable, that transfers outside the European Union are based on an adequate level of protection or sufficient safeguards, a copy of which may be obtained by Data Subjects upon request to OwlEyes. In addition, OwlEyes may be required to communicate the personal data processed to authorized third parties in the context of compliance with a legal obligation, at the request of a judicial, administrative or public authority, or in application of a judicial or administrative decision.

What rights do I have to the personal data I provide?

Any person who has provided personal data to OwlEyes has the following rights with regard to this data:

  • A right of access to the data (to obtain confirmation of the processing of his/her personal data as well as a certain amount of information on the processing, it being understood that this information is in any case given in the present policy of protection of personal data, and in the presence of a processing, the copy of the processed data) and of rectification in the event of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • A right to erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”) consisting of the deletion of personal data when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or when the user objects to the processing of his personal data, except when the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or the exercise of legal rights. It is further specified that the right to be forgotten is not enforceable in the cases provided for in Article 17.3 of the GDPR. In particular, this right is not available during the execution of the contract, as this personal data is necessary for OwlEyes to execute the contract;
  • A right to the limitation of the processing of his personal data in particular when the user disputes the accuracy of the data, when the data retention period has come to an end but the user still needs to retain this personal data for the establishment, exercise or defense of a legal claim ;

The right to define directives concerning the fate of his personal data after his death;
The right to the portability of raw data provided to OwlEyes in a readable format, or to its transmission to another data controller;

The right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority (in particular the CNIL in France) if the user considers that the processing carried out by OwlEyes constitutes a violation of his/her personal data;
The right to object to the processing of data based on the legitimate interests of OwlEyes, at any time, for reasons relating to the user’s personal situation, to the processing of his/her personal data based on the legitimate interests of OwlEyes, in particular in the case where this objection concerns commercial prospecting, unless OwlEyes has compelling reasons to do so;

These rights can be exercised by e-mail or by post to OwlEyes at the address below.

These rights must be exercised under the conditions provided for by the regulations in force. In particular, proof of identity may be requested in case of doubt about the identity of the person.
